Editing instructions
Please feel free to correct typos and inaccuracies even to add new sections or pages to Tower Grove Feed help. To edit a Tower Grove Feed help page, click the edit tab. The edit tab at the top of the page for the page as whole. If parts of the page are edited separately, there is an 'edit' link to the right of the first line of the section. To edit a page you must have a user name and be logged in. (No logging in or user name is required to read help text). If you are not logged in you will be prompted to do so. If you have a user name, you can enter your user name and password and log in. If not, you can click Create an account. On the Log in / create account pop-up, you can fill in a user name, password, email address, and real name. Only the user name required. Choose a name you will easily remember, such as a user ID you use elsewhere. You can use your Tower Grove Feed user ID, but that is not required. You do not need a password. We are more concerned with identifying who changed something than with securing the help site. You may wish to provide a password to keep others from editing pages under your user name. Choose a password you will easily remember. There are no requirements as to length or type of characters, but passwords are case sensitive. Once you are logged in you can edit any help page you visit. Tower Grove Feed help text uses Wikimedia software. If you are familiar with editing in Wikipedia, then you should know how to edit pages here. Consult the User's Guide for information on using the wiki software, including navigating and editing pages. For typos and minor inaccuracies, you should edit the page directly. When you save the page, check "This is a minor edit." For more complex changes it is best to propose changes in the discussion area. Developers watch for changes to pages and should respond within a business day. If you don't get a timely response, please email support@towergrovesoftware.com.
